The Centre in Vauxhall opened in May 2014 and we are now looking for 2 more staff members to join our team. Applicants should be experienced, diligent and passionate with a flexible and committed approach; both roles involve weekend and evening work. As a central London bouldering centre only 100m from a Zone 1 underground and national rail station the centre is growing into a buzzing hive of climbing psych. We want to maintain a team to match that can provide exceptional and efficient customer service. If this sounds like you the following positions are available:
Duty Manager (Part time 15-20hrs)
As part of small multifunctional team the role of Duty Manager is central to the effective running of the Centre. You will be responsible for the provision of a safe, fun and welcoming climbing environment. When on duty you will directly manage the day to day operations including the reception, café and shop with additional tasks including instruction, cleaning and route setting.
This position will include at least 2 early shifts. Applicants should ensure they can get to the centre for 5.45am.
Team Member (part time 15-20hrs)
Working with the Duty Manager and on your own initiative you are expected to provide an exceptional level of customer service in all centre operations. A significant part of this role will be instruction delivering inductions, coaching and junior programme.
